Kokiri

Liverpool native Kevin Williams makes a unique brand of upbeat and full-bodied vocal house tracks under the name Kokiri. He got into music production as an adolescent, inspired by the U.K. hardcore and drum'n'bass tunes he heard played by his older brother. His interest was piqued when his sibling informed him that a certain cut was recorded in a bedroom rather than a proper studio. For then on, Williams never looked back.

A little over a decade after Kokiri started to make electronic dance music with minimal means, he had a breakthrough hit with "Turn Back Time (Retrospect)" (2015), a single released on Ministry of Sound in the U.K. and on Big Beat/Atlantic in the U.S, taking the radio airwaves by storm. Annie Mac & Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1) simply couldn’t get enough.

For an assortment of labels including Love & Other, Perfect Havoc, and Armada Deep, Williams continued to release more A-sides, including the Adam F collaboration "Harmony” released on Danny Howard’s Nothing Else Matters imprint via RCA/Sony UK as well as the solo productions "Chasing" and "Other Side of Love" (all 2016-2017). His productions have quite rightly courted a whole host of tastemaker champions from Guetta & Afrojack, Heldens & Sam Felt to Kideko & Christ Lorenzo, Mistjam & Danny Howard.

Kokiri is also as ever hotly in demand for remixes, with Anne Marie & Marshmello, Jessie Ware, Naughty Boy and Craig David all having called for his magical touch behind the dials.

2018 is set to be his biggest year to date, with: an exclusive deal freshly inked with dance heavyweight Armada, there’s nothing stopping the man form Fazakerely continuing his relentless assault on the international house scene.
