Jorn Van Deynhoven
Jorn van Deynhoven, aka JvD, hails from Holland and has emerged as one of the hottest names in global trance in recent years.
Following an amazing run of releases that also saw him remix the likes of Armin van Buuren and Dash Berlin, arguably his biggest production accolade to date came when his ‘New Horizons’ track was voted as the official anthem for A State Of Trance 650 at the start of 2014, beating off some fierce competition from the likes of Andrew Rayel and MaRLo in the process. ‘New Horizons’ had all the hallmarks of a timeless anthem, combining Jorn’s distinctive driving groove, classic melodies and arranged into a dramatic composition that was a fitting centrepiece for the ASOT 650 world tour.
Aside from the ‘New Horizons’ single, Jorn has also achieved legendary status with his remixes; the JvD official reworks of Armin van Buuren feat. Richard Bedford ‘Love Never Came’, Dash Berlin ‘Never Cry Again’, Cosmic Gate & Emma Hewitt ‘Going Home’, RAM 'RAMsterdam', Svenson & Gielen ‘Twisted’ and Craig Connelly feat. Christina Novelli ‘Black Hole’ have all gained bona fide anthem status within the trance scene in recent years.
Jorn’s solo production achievements are no less impressive either with a succession of recent singles such as 'Spotlight', ‘Headliner’, ‘Six Zero Zero', ‘Freaks’ and ‘101010 (The Perfect Ten)’ scooping numerous accolades such as Beatport chart #1s, back to back plays on ASOT Radio, not to mention relentless playlist support from A-list DJs within the scene.
Jorn’s DJ career started going stratospheric in 2014 with fans worldwide flocking to see the man behind many of the biggest tunes the trance scene has to offer. Standout shows & performances across Europe, North & South America, Asia and Australia have seen Jorn setting new benchmarks and career milestones on a regular basis. Recent tour highlights include the 20,000 capacity ASOT 650 Holland main stage, festivals across Europe such as Tomorrowland in Belgium, Nature One in Germany, Transmission in Czech Republic, Luminosity and Emporium in Holland, Trancemission in Russia, Beyond Wonderland in USA, Ultra Music Festival in Chile, Armada Beach Festival in Argentina, plus Armada and Godskitchen branded tours of Australia.
2016 has started in fine fashion also with Jorn's 'We Can Fly' and 'Flashback' singles gaining scene wide support, both featuring on the new Armin ASOT compilation and each coming with spectacular videos filmed on tour. Next up on the release schedule is Jorn's eagerly anticipated remix of Andrew Rayel is a much hyped for the trance scene’s official ‘Anthem Man’ - Jorn van Deynhoven!
